Merry Christmas!

Just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

I will be taking some time off, but I will be posting pictures every week from previous sessions I have done. Happy new year and I look forward to an incredible 2012!

" His gift"

This year I thought I would share a little of my personal thoughts with you! I took this picture of this sweet girl holding this incredibly adorable gift and it reminded me of His gift. I know, I know you probably don't want to hear a sermon or some obnoxious christian going on and on about Jesus..... So I won't. But I must tell you about my personal experience with His gift. His gift has brought me Hope, hope that our children will grow up in a world where there are people that are willing to help one another. Hope, that one day we will be with our loved ones that are so dearly missed. Hope that the weak, weary, unloved, alone and hurting will find someone that will love them teach them about His gift. This last Sunday I heard someone speak about "what is Mine, is HIS". I started really thinking about it..... If I truly lived my life like what is Mine is HIS, my life may look a little different. I might treat my family differently, my children differently, I might make better choices with what I spend my "HIS" money on. So this year, I am encouraged to really live like what is mine, is truly His. For those of you who don't know about "His gift"

It's the gift of Salvation, thank you Lord for your perfect gift in sending your son Jesus

Love this location!

This family asked if I would go downtown and did I know of a spot?? Ohh..... do I know of SPOTS! I LOVE, can I say that again... I LOVE shooting downtown! And I love shooting in different locations downtown. This sweet mama, I will call her Mrs. M. wanted to know what the pictures looked like before I edited and did it make that much of a difference? So I will leave that up to you........ What do you think???

I spent last year reorganizing and restructuring my business. Added a new look, new logo, new pricing and above all that....... lots of training! The biggest thing I learned was about my clients, or as I call them my BFF's.
I learned that the people I want to work with want my time after all that is what they are paying me for right? They want me to help them through the process. Find the location that fits their family, help decide on clothing that looks good on them and their family and basically just hold their hand through the whole process. Because for my clients these may be the only family pictures they have done..... EVER...... For some, they want them done every year to watch how their children grow and mature in their looks. And for some........It will be their last photo here on this beautiful earth....... I love that! I feel truly Blessed by that! I love being a part of each and every family and that is why I want their family to be a part of my family.

I want to make sure they understand that I spend a lot of time before we ever meet preparing for our session. And when I sit down to edit their pictures they are the ones I am focusing on. I do ONE session a week unless extreme circumstances occur, I Hand edit every picture, I don't run "actions" I do use one warming filter if needed and portraiture at the end if needed. So every picture is unique! If you want the same EXACT look on every picture, sorry you won't get it because it's just not possible but I can have them look similiar :)

I am so enjoying myself this year because I know I am giving a good quality product that each and every family can see and I am giving the best customer service I can possibly give!

So Thank you to All of my clients this year, you have truly enriched my life!

Fall Mini session | Lakeville MN |

This year's mini session was at the fabulous Hot Sams in Lakeville! It was a beautiful day and all the families did a GREAT job of following my "what to wear" guide.

Whenever I photograph someone I have never met before, it's always hard to know how it's going to go. I knew right from the first phone call this was going to be fun! Mom and Dad were energetic and fun to work with. And the kiddo's chimed right in esp. the girls!

And yes, the two young ones in the middle.... that's mom and dad!

This one was Mrs. B's idea, I thought mmmm too dark, but I was sooo wrong! This is one of my favorites, great idea Mrs. B. Wish my hubby and I would look this good under a canopy of heaven and 5 kids cheering us on :)

LAKEVILLE.... NEW LOCATION MINI SESSION!

So I had to change my mini session location due to some inquires about bringing pets. And I love including those pets so my NEW location is LAKEVILLE! Yea, my home town!!

I took my kiddo's out there and shot some photo's and I LOVE how they turned out!

I went for the antique look, but they do have lots of other places to shoot with tall grasses and fun looks with trees.

Sweet family | twin cities photographer

Have I mentioned that my clients become my BFF's? This sweet lady ( I will call her Mrs. K she's the beauty in the blue sweater) has hired me 3 times now and we are definitely BFF's.

I just love this family.

I love how they are with each other through thick and thin. I love that she takes the time to photograph those special moments and knows just how precious life is.
